Find Facebook ID
About the Find Facebook ID Tool
Every Facebook profile, page, group, and post is assigned a permanent numeric identifier that Facebook uses internally to look up the object in its database. The Find Facebook ID tool reveals that hidden number from a regular Facebook URL in one click. Developers, marketers, ad managers, and chatbot builders need this number when configuring the Facebook Graph API, Messenger templates, Business Manager assets, Meta Pixel events, third-party CRM integrations, and tools that connect to Facebook Login.
When you actually need a Facebook ID
The friendly URL slug that appears in your browser, for example facebook.com/your-business-name, is just an alias that Facebook can change at any time. The numeric ID never changes, so applications that store relationships or send messages always work against the ID. You will be asked for it when setting up Webhooks, the Conversions API, lookalike audiences, scheduled posts through third-party schedulers, or analytics dashboards that pull insights via the Graph API.
How to use it
- Open the Facebook page, profile, group, video, or post whose ID you want to retrieve.
- Copy the URL from the browser address bar.
- Paste it into the input field above and click Find ID.
- The numeric ID appears instantly — click to copy it to your clipboard.
What this tool can find
It supports public Pages, public Profiles with vanity URLs, public Groups (open and closed), individual Posts, Videos, Photos, and Events. Private or restricted content cannot be resolved because Facebook deliberately hides it from unauthenticated requests.
Privacy and accuracy
We only request the publicly visible HTML of the URL you submit. We do not store the URL, the resolved ID, or any associated data. The lookup uses the same metadata that Facebook itself exposes to search engines and link previews, so the ID returned is the canonical one used by every Facebook surface and the Graph API.
